JOINING US

At Ephesus, we want every believer to take the next step beyond attending and commit to being a member of our church family. Church members commit to joining a spiritual family who provides encouragement and support. They are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service, and sacrifice. Our pastors and ministry leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer, and teaching. Make plans now to attend the next Sabbath service and commit to being a member; for Christ is waiting for you here!

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen."

MATTHEW 28:18-20

BECOMING A MEMBER

By becoming a member, you’re choosing to commit to a body of believers and officially join our church family. We welcome you with open arms and holy kisses! Here are four great reasons why you should join our church family.

We're Biblical

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 1 John 1:3-4

We're Countercultural
Joining our church is an antidote to society. We live in an age when people resist being committed to anything; a job, a marriage or our country. Partnership swims against the current of America’s “consumer religion.” It is an unselfish decision.

We're Practical

Joining our church defines those upon whom we can depend. Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every business has a payroll. Every army has an enlistment. Even our country takes a census and requires voter registration. Membership identifies our church family.

We're Healthy

Joining our church produces spiritual growth. The Bible gives major emphasis for the need of Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to a specific church family. We as Christians need each other.

ADVENTIST BELIEFS

Seventh-day Adventist beliefs are meant to permeate your whole life. Growing out of scriptures that paint a compelling portrait of God, you are invited to explore, experience and know the One who desires to make us whole.

We accept the Bible as the only source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura; the Bible as the only standard of faith and practice for Christians.

We currently hold 28 fundamental beliefs that can be organized into six categories: the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity.
